On June 3, the new show hit the Internet with the launch of colbertlateshow.com, along wtih a YouTube channel, Facebook page and Twitter account.
On June 5, Colbert announced that New Orleans jazz muscian Jon Baptiste will be the new show's band leader, saying "His music makes the audience feel so good, we may have to install a 'Do Not Make Love' sign." Baptisite's band, Stay Human, will join him on the show.
