“Intervention”
Season Premiere Sunday, March 6 at 10 PM ET/PT on A&E

Twice nominated and in 2009 awarded the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Series, the five-time PRISM Award-winning series “Intervention” profiles people whose dependence on drugs and alcohol or other compulsive behavior has brought them to a point of personal crisis or estranged them from their friends and loved ones.

Each episode ends with a surprise intervention that is staged by the family and friends of the addict, and which is conducted by one of four specialists: Jeff VanVonderen, Candy Finnigan, Rod Espudo and Donna Chavous. "Intervention" brings attention to the enormous social, economic and environmental cost of addiction.

This season features Kacy, a multimillionaire turned penniless alcoholic; Sierra, a young woman caught in a full blown meth-induced psychosis; brothers Daniel and Robert who are both on a downward spiral of codependent heroin addiction; and Kaeleen who numbs the pain of her childhood sexual abuse with opiates and alcohol, among many more stories.

Each addict must confront their darkest demons in order to begin their journey to recovery in the hopes that they can turn their lives around before it’s too late.
