Following the passing of her father, American chemist Violet Chappel (Shantel VanSanten) travels from her home in Boston to Belgium to help with the corporate restructuring of her family’s perfume company, Chappel Perfumery and continue her father’s legacy.
With the Valentine’s Day holiday fast approaching, Chappel Perfumery receives a large order for SKY, the last of a trilogy of very successful perfumes, but there’s just one problem: Violet can’t find the recipe for the secret formula. She turns her father's office upside down with absolutely no luck in finding where he’s written down the unique mixture of ingredients. The very last few drops of SKY are worn in a vial around Violet’s neck and she needs an expert “nose” – and fast.
Violet brushes against some apple blossoms while walking to the local coffee shop where she meets Declan “Dec” Granger (Victor Webster), a handsome botanist who not only catches her eye, but also her attention when he says she smells like apple blossoms! Violet immediately thinks Dec could be the one to identify the missing ingredient, and while he couldn’t be less interested in being a perfumer, she catches his eye as well, and he finally agrees to join the Chappel team where they work tirelessly to recreate the formula for SKY.
Violet is getting pressure to return to Boston, where her own life and dreams are instead of continuing the dream of her late father. It’s only when Violet and Dec are on the brink of discovering that right under their nose is not only the missing ingredient—but each other as well--that Violet delays returning to Boston and follows her heart instead, discovering along the way that sometimes dreams change.
