A young hustler's dream of leaving the streets and pursuing a legitimate career is challenged by an immediate need to provide for his girlfriend and baby on the way. A former LAPD officer attempts to change his aggressive ways, but struggles with his addiction to adrenaline. A high school student who almost lost his life after being shot in the head by a rival gang tries to get a college scholarship and make it out of East St Louis. This documentary explores the humanity in each of these six lives as they intersect, develop and transform.
