An Extraordinary Group of Renowned Artists Salute This Year's Honorees at "The 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors"

Tuesday, December 29 at  9 PM ET/PT on the CBS Television Network
                         
         Taking place on the Kennedy Center Opera House stage, Carole King, George Lucas, Rita Moreno, Seiji Ozawa, and Cicely Tyson will all be saluted by great performers from Hollywood and the arts capitals of the world.

         The Honors recipients will be recognized for their lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts—whether in dance, music, theater, opera, motion pictures, or television—and are selected by the Center's Board of Trustees.

          The awards event was filmed in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, Dec. 6 and hosted by Stephen Colbert. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, along with Secretary of State John Kerry were in attendance.

 

The honorees, presenters and performers are as follows:
