Premieres Saturday, June 16 at 9 PM ET/PT on Hallmark Channel
As a part of the network’s annual “June Weddings” programming event, Love at First Dance is a charming movie which revolves around Hope Mayes (Becca Tobin) who dreams of becoming a professional choreographer, and now teaches dance routines, including wedding dances to engaged couples. When her friend Cassidy (Bethany Brown) gets Hope a coveted ticket to a show to see her dance, Hope meets Manhattan man about town Eric Gunderson (Niall Matter), and is not impressed with his entitled attitude.
Hope is shocked, then, when her new clients turn out to be Eric and his fiancé and business partner Adriana (Cecelia Grace Deacon). Adriana apologizes for her fiancés behavior, and it quickly becomes clear that Eric will need more training than Adriana. Because of their business obligations, Eric agrees to train with Hope three times each week while Adriana picks up the slack at work – an investment banking firm their respective fathers recently handed down to them.
Hope and Eric make amends for their bad first impression, and bond over their common interest in the creative arts. The pair grows closer as they train and go to wedding planning meetings that Adriana is too busy with work to attend. Hope opens up about calling off her own engagement a year before, and her struggle to decide between following her dreams applying for an assistant job for master choreographer Vanessa (Emily Holmes) in London, or taking over the lease on the dance studio for the current owner Sophia (Veena Sood). Eric encourages her to follow her dream and prepare the choreography audition, and Hope encourages Eric to pursue an opportunity producing a play that would take much of his focus away from the family business.
As Eric’s wedding approaches, and Hope has the chance to go after her dream job in London, both must decide which professional and personal pursuits will bring them happiness.
