“Falling for Vermont”
Premieres Saturday, September 23 at 9 PM ET/PT on Hallmark Channel
Angela Young (Julie Gonzalo) is experiencing the dream of every writer. Her young adult book series, Time Visitor: Athena’s Journey Begins, is being made into a movie! Angela’s success is great news to her boyfriend/business manager, Brad (Peter Benson), and her sister/assistant Cynthia (Barbara Kottmeier), but all the hoopla and publicity isn’t something Angela signed up for. She’s uncomfortable with cameras flashing in her face and being rushed to one interview after another.
Finally, after racing from Boston’s Book Expo to an interview, Angela has had enough. Waiting on the production set, she spots her sister’s car keys, grabs them, and slips away. A sudden storm hits and after passing a sign that reads “Welcome to Vermont,” Angela swerves to miss a fallen branch and careens down. She hits her head hard and blacks out, only to come to the next morning, soaking wet, disoriented and wandering down the road. Luckily, the local sheriff spots Angela, and asks for her name. When she replies that she has no idea who she is and promptly faints into his arms, he whisks her off to the nearest hospital.
Opening her eyes to see the handsome Dr. Jeff Callan (Benjamin Ayres) tending to her, Angela is told about the accident, but who she is will remain a mystery for a while. Jeff, a single dad, offers his guesthouse to Angela and she soon bonds not only with his kids but also with Jeff and the idyllic Vermont town of Hopedale. Surely she has to go back to the exciting world of a successful writer, but the idyllic life she has experienced in Hopedale might be exactly where she’s actually meant to be.
