The new FV-Tuna.Com charges ahead toward ocean waters.  Captain Dave Carraro believes he will have the perfect vessel to help him achieve his goal, a no-expense-spared, state-of-the-art boat that he designed to be "the ultimate tuna fishing machine."

In the season premiere, “Something to Prove,” the best fishermen from Gloucester, Massachusetts, set out on the first day of the North Atlantic Bluefin Tuna season, each with something to prove to the rest of the fleet, but this year they will face a formidable new opponent from northern waters.

Captain Dave Carraro of FV-Tuna.com has returned with one thing on his mind: regain his title as the best bluefin captain in the fleet. Last year, Dave finished third in the earnings for the Gloucester fleet – his lowest ranking in the past four years – so this season, he is back on the hunt for first place.

Hot Tuna’s newest addition, Ripple, is TJ’s new Rottweiler puppy. This is her first season on the Hot Tuna. While she took to boat life immediately, she was a little overwhelmed and nervous when Hot Tuna pulled their first giant bluefin of the season on board. After naming Reba after a Phish song, TJ wanted to show some love to his other favorite band and named Ripple after the Grateful Dead song. Ripple’s brother Samson lives with TJ and Mike’s mom and dad.
