It’s time to break out the bird totes and pickle jars. IFC’s Portlandia is returning for an eighth and final season filled with Portland’s most eclectic characters played by comedy mainstays Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein.
We are promised heightened antics in the series’ final run: Toni and Candace open up their own women’s health clinic, Spyke decides it’s time to bring punk music back to the main scene, Cath and Dave attempt to survive an Escape Room, and The Goths give a heartfelt eulogy. Created by Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein and Jonathan Krisel, the series brings back its colorful array of characters to dig even deeper into the absurdities of modern life.

In the January 18 episode, “Riot Spray,” Spyke gets his old band back together. Podcasters investigate a police station. Candace brings Toni to her childhood summer home. Brendan & Michelle consider buying a van.
In the January 25 episode, “Shared Workplace,” Toni & Candace become involved in women's healthcare. Peter & Nance deal with a spicy sushi situation. Kathleen becomes the first female partner at her firm. A single guy interrupts Brendan & Michelle's couples' dinner. Donovan & Maggie offer sandwich solutions.
