Season Premiere Monday, March 13 at 8 PM ET/PT on Freeform
In the fourth season finale, Gabi and Josh decided to be “friends with benefits,” much to the group’s chagrin, after their previous attempts at a relationship went awry.
In the fifth season opener, “Young & Punch Card,” Gabi and Josh try to prove to everyone that they won’t let feelings get in the way of their new arrangement as “friends with benefits.” Sofia continues on the path to a career in journalism, and Josh faces an unexpected reunion with his estranged father. Yolanda’s attempt to cut corners while doing her job leads to disastrous complications for Elliot and even more so for Josh. Meanwhile, Sofia’s elaborate plan to get her coworker to ask her out is disrupted by Gabi and Josh’s situation.
Comedy legend Betty White guest stars this season as neighbor Ms. Wilson. Television legend Carl Reiner will also appear. Michael Voltaggio will again appear as himself in an upcoming episode, and Heather Dubrow (“The Real Housewives of Orange County”) will also guest star.
In this half-hour comedy series, two worlds collided when Josh (Jonathan Sadowski), a wealthy, young tech entrepreneur, hired Gabi (Emily Osment), a feisty young woman, as his personal chef. After they started with an awkward one night stand, Gabi and Josh never stop trying to figure out if they should act on their obvious feelings for each other or maintain a professional relationship. Along with Gabi’s best friend Sofia (Aimee Carrero), Josh’s housekeeper Yolanda (Kym Whitley), and publicist/right-hand man Elliot (Rex Lee), the five of them form a very dynamic, yet complicated unit, complete with a lot of laughs and a lot of heart.
