“Hailey Dean Mystery – Dating is Murder”
Premieres Sunday, October 15 at 9 PM ET/PT
on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

After learning that a family friend’s daughter has gone mysteriously missing, therapist and former prosecutor Hailey Dean (Kellie Martin) is on the case. She learns that the missing woman—Miranda—had been using the popular geo-locating dating app Penguin Match, and heads to the app’s headquarters with Detective Fincher Garland (Viv Leacock) to investigate.

Neither Penguin Match’s owner, Wade (Toby Levins), nor his business partner, Jessica (Kieran Sequoia), agree to reveal any of the app’s records, but Wade’s assistant shares Miranda’s last known whereabouts. Hailey and her boyfriend Jonas (Matthew MacCaull) follow this lead until they find Miranda’s body off of a favorite hiking trail.

The autopsy results tie this case to six other missing women, one of whom had been found dead off of the very same trail where Miranda was found. Detective Danny Morgan (Giacomo Baessato) confronts Steve, a man whose company Miranda recently panned in her magazine (leading to the demise of the company), and Steve takes off running. After he is apprehended, he denies any involvement with the missing women.

Hailey realizes all six women who went missing were using the same dating app. With the help of her friend Sabrina (Emily Holmes)—who also uses the app—Hailey creates a dating profile to track down the men who went on dates with Miranda. When Sabrina goes missing, Hailey must use her sharp powers of observation and uncanny ability to read people to crack the case.
