"Christmas Connection”
Premieres Sunday, December 17 at 8 PM ET/PT on Hallmark Channel
Adventurous and effervescent flight attendant Sydney (Brooke Burns) travels the world on and off the clock and this Christmas will spend the holidays in tropical Bali. Those plans get sidetracked, however, when she misses her connecting flight helping Leah (Sophie Neudorf), an unaccompanied minor, get home to Chicago to her dad, the handsome widower and investigative reporter Jonathan (Tom Everett Scott).

With a shortage of outgoing flights, Sydney is marooned in the Windy City – once her home as a small girl – for several days and accepts an invitation to tag along with Jonathan, who makes her a deal: he will help her chase down the story of how her late parents met when they were living in Chicago and, in return, she will help him write the perfect romantic story set against the backdrop of Christmas.

They start their investigation with a pair of photographs of her mom and dad in a locket she wears around her neck. As they work to put together the pieces of this puzzle, Sydney begins to spend more and more time with Jonathan. As they continue on their Christmas road trip to track down leads throughout Chicago as to how her parents met, taking them from a Christmas tree farm to an ice-skating rink, the clues begin to unravel. Sydney, who has always felt that Christmas really isn’t that big of a deal, finds she is really enjoying being stranded, surrounded by Jonathan’s exuberant family and all of their charm.
Together with Jonathan and Leah, Sydney bakes and decorates Christmas cookies, strolls through an outdoor Christmas market shopping for festive wreaths, enjoys a day of ice skating at the outdoor rink along with some deep-dish pizza, and even makes snow angels and participates in an impromptu snowball fight. When she and Jonathan share a slow dance under a gazebo, it isn’t long before Sydney realizes she feels a spark with him.
