This is IFC’s very first slightly off holiday special. “Joe’s Pub Presents: A Holiday Special” stars two time Emmy Award-winning actor Tony Hale (“Veep,” “Arrested Development”).  The comedy and music event-special was taped in front of a live audience on Wednesday, November 30 and airs as a one-hour special on the network on Wednesday, December 21 at 10PM.
Taping at the iconic Joe’s Pub inside the historic Public Theater in downtown Manhattan, the special will feature a variety of holiday themed performances from acclaimed comics, singers and actors including Bridget Everett (“Inside Amy Schumer,” “Girls”), Jo Firestone (“High Maintenance,” “Broad City”), Jen Kirkman (Netflix's "I'm Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine)," “Drunk History”), Nick Thune (“Burning Love,” “Comedy Bang! Bang!”) and many more. Funk and soul group THE DAP-KINGS will serve as the house band for the evening. Joe’s Pub regularly features an eclectic array of performances from highly-celebrated artists, and is where Amy Winehouse and Adele made their US concert debuts.
