Produced, directed by and starring James Brolin, along with featuring the holiday music of Barbra Streisand, this heart-warming holiday film also stars Mena Suvari, Giselle Eisenberg and John Reardon.
With the holidays approaching, Jackie Foster, a dynamic Assistant District Attorney and single mom, looks forward to wrapping up her latest case and spending Christmas with Gracie, her adorable 8-year old daughter. But things take a turn when Jackie’s estranged dad, Jack, a gruff retired police officer, unexpectedly shows up at her door, leaving her with no choice but to deal with their damaged relationship. Tensions rise when Jack brings Nose, a mischievous former police dog, into Jackie’s orderly home.
Though Jack had planned on quickly passing through, Gracie, craving family reunification, demands that he stay until Christmas. While dating Rand, a handsome and successful investment banker, Jackie also captures the attention of Mike Kelly, a charming detective, who Jack invites to her house for dinner.

Swept up in the holiday spirit, Jackie begins volunteering at a local homeless shelter, helping prepare for a Christmas Eve charity dinner. There, Jackie is heartbroken to learn that the city plans to close the shelter. Meanwhile, Rand pressures Jackie to take a job at a prestigious law firm. As she starts feeling increasingly uncomfortable with Rand, Jackie begins having feelings for Mike. After an argument with Jackie, Jack packs up to leave the house, but is invited back when the precocious young Gracie reminds Jackie about the importance of forgiveness.
Later, Jack escorts Jackie to an elegant Christmas party at Rand’s parents’ lavish mansion. After Nose creates a ruckus at the party — and Jack insists that Rand is not a good boyfriend — Jackie becomes furious, inciting Jack to leave town for good. But on Christmas Eve, when she learns that Rand secretly hatched the plan to close the shelter — and that Mike is smitten with her — Jackie breaks  up with him. Now that she’s finally ready to forgive her dad, the industrious young attorney must hurry to bring him home in time for Christmas. Along the way, as she wishes for a miracle to save the shelter, she just might find true love.
