The second season of the drama series The Bletchley Circle continues the story of four seemingly ordinary women becoming the unlikely investigators of a string of grisly murders in this original thriller set against the backdrop of post-war London.
In Season 2, the four code-breaking protagonists return to solve darker and more dangerous cases. Susan (Anna Maxwell Martin), Millie (Rachel Stirling), Lucy (Sophie Rundle, and Jean Julie Graham) are joined by their former Bletchley Park colleague Alice (Hattie Morgan), who could face the death penalty for murder. Meanwhile, Millie becomes entrenched in the murky world of human trafficking when she deals with the charming rogue Jasper.

The first episode "Blood onTheir Hands," opens with former Bletchley Park girl Alice Merren in prison awaiting trial for the murder of the eminent scientist John Richards. Driven by her belief in Alice’s innocence and that she is hiding the truth about John’s death, Jean attempts to reunite the circle to help establish the innocence of one of their own.cover-up of a chemical spill. The women use the skills honed at Bletchley Park — and take dangerous chances — to try to exonerate Alice.
