Brothers Chase and Brock Jurgensen turn shabby family cabins in their northern Minnesota hometown into stylish living spaces full of rustic charm in DIY Network’s newest series “Rustic Renovation.” Premiering Tuesday, July 11, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, the nine-episode series follows younger brother Chase, a licensed contractor, and older brother Brock, a talented woodworker and craftsman, as they modernize these old homes into functional and beautiful escapes. In each episode, the brothers also find unconventional ways to creatively incorporate some of the old cabins’ original elements, such as reclaimed wood, into each design.
“Minnesota is where we grew up and where we love to work, surrounded by lakes, woods, farm and family,” said Chase. “We’re always searching for ways to rescue bits of the past, give them a new life and create something amazing for the next generation.”

The brothers reimagine the outdated space, which includes a tiny kitchen, original carpet and dark paneled walls, and rework the entire footprint to give the family a bright, modern and functional getaway. Creating defined kitchen, dining and living areas, Chase and Brock also incorporate their custom, handcrafted touches into the vacation home, including a built-in dining nook, bunk beds with a reclaimed wood railing and board and batten wainscoting.
“We’re committed to preserving what matters most – a place that feels like home,” said Chase. “Together, that’s what Brock and I give our clients.”
