"ORIGINS: The Journey of Humankind”
Premieres Monday, March 6 at 9 PM ET/PT on NationalGeographic Channel
National Geographic’s “ORIGINS: The Journey of Humankind” is an eight-part series that celebrates the story of how man became modern. It’s a full-sensory, time-travel adventure that delves deep into history to find the pivotal ‘origin’ moments that fueled our evolutionary ascension. The series offers a modern point of view, and world-class future-thinker Jason Silva (“Brain Games”) guides us through the exploration of these explosive events, such as the discoveries and applications of fire and medicine, that fundamentally and irrevocably created our modern lives.

To further amplify our viewing experiences, the series features dazzling audio-visual sequences designed by John Boswell, also known worldwide as Melodysheep, along with global expert commentary and cinematic dramatic sequences that capture the magic of these discoveries throughout time. Additional disruptors – or ‘origin’ moments – including war, money, communication, transportation, exploration and shelter - are also explored.
