            Set in 13th century China in a world of greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and rivalry, “Marco Polo” is based on the famed explorer’s adventures in Kublai Khan’s court. Polo, played by Lorenzo Richelmy, is drafted into the Order of the Mongol Knights by Khan, played by Benedict Wong.

          The season two cast also includes Michelle Yeoh as the sword-wheeling Handmaiden, Joan Chen as Empress Chabi, Zhu Zhu as Kokachin, Tom Wu as Hundred Eyes, Olivia Cheng as Mei Lin, Claudia Kim as Khutulun, Rick Yune as Kaidu, Remy Hii as Prince Jingim, Mahesh Jadu as Ahmad, and Uli Latukefu as Byamba.
