New Comedy Series “Brockmire” Starring Hank Azaria Premieres with Back-to-Back Episodes on IFC

          Opening Day is coming for comedy series “Brockmire,“ which follows Jim Brockmire (Hank Azaria), a famed major league baseball announcer who suffered an embarrassing public meltdown live on the air a decade ago after discovering his wife’s infidelity.

          Now, looking to reclaim his career, reputation, and love life, Brockmire takes a job in a small American rust belt town, calling minor league baseball games for the Morristown Frackers. Amanda Peet co-stars as Jules, the strong-willed and hard-drinking proud owner of the Frackers, and Tyrel Jackson Williams stars as Charles, the team’s whiz-kid intern.

“Rally Cap”

After walking in on his wife in bed with their neighbor, famed MLB announcer Jim Brockmire has an epic job-ending meltdown live on the air. A decade later, he decides to reclaim his career by calling minor league games in a small rust belt town.
“Winning Streak”
Airs Wednesday, April 5 at 10:30 PM ET/PT
Jim and Jules hook up the night before the Frackers win a game. They attempt to keep the lucky streak going on and off the field. Meanwhile, Brockmire contemplates what Jules means to him.
“Kangaroo Court”
Airs Wednesday, April 12 at 10:00 PM ET/PT
The players hold an intense kangaroo court. Jules urges Brockmire to mediate. Meanwhile, Charles wonders why Brockmire thinks he is gay.

Brockmire’s ex-wife, Lucy, reappears. Forced to confront his emotions, Brockmire defaults to drinking. Things quickly spiral out of control when he finds a target for his anger.
“Breakout Year”

Jules and Charles work to renew Brockmire’s internet fame. Their efforts payoff tenfold when Brockmire gains a very unexpected fan base.
