On the job, DEA agents tell the story behind the legendary “Operation Gargoyle,” giving viewers get an inside look at what it takes to bring down one of the world’s most ruthless and elusive targets.

Gilberto Gonzalez
Gilberto Gonzalez is a retired DEA Special Agent with 24 years of experience working across the United States, Mexico and South America. During his time at the DEA’s Los Angeles bureau, Gonzalez worked major money laundering investigations as both a case agent and an undercover agent. He also worked in San Antonio, El Paso, and Guadalajara focused on cases of drug trafficking. In 1998, Gonzalez received the DEA Administrator's Award of Valor and in 2007 he received the National Drug Enforcement Officers Association Award of Valor. Currently he serves as the Executive Director of the Texas Narcotic Officers Association.
 
Mike Vigil
Mike Vigil is a 30-year veteran of the DEA and retired at the Senior Executive Service level. Additionally, he served as the Special Agent in Charge of the Caribbean and San Diego Divisions and as the Chief of International Operations managing all DEA offices worldwide. Vigil was the recipient of the National Association Police Organizations “Top Cop” Award, which is the most prestigious in law enforcement. He was also recently made an honorary General by the government of Afghanistan and received awards and honors from several foreign governments.
