Last-minute plans are underway during the week leading up to the Haywith-Dorman nuptials, including a girls’ night out, a surprise bachelor party, and all the things that can go wrong.  At the DOL office, Shane (Kristin Booth) retrieves an undeliverable package that is now earmarked for auction.  The package contains a lace wedding gown and Shane wants to purchase it outright.

However, when she tries it on and discovers a hidden pocket with a letter inside, it becomes clear that, with this new clue to consider, the team must surely make another attempt to reunite the wedding dress with its rightful recipient before giving up.  Rita (Crystal Lowe) and Norman (Geoff Gustafson) walk into the DOL as Oliver (Eric Mabius) and Shane share a kiss and an intimate moment.

The letter provides some cryptic clues but nothing solid as to who sent or was to receive the package nearly a year ago.  The entire address was accidentally torn away in transit and the POstables must start from scratch in their search.  The initial clues are not much to work with: high-quality paper with the top portion cut off, a pastiche of commemorative stamps on the package, each of which celebrates women who were courageous pioneers of their time, and the language of the letter itself.

Norman’s bachelor party includes a fantastic surprise.  His free-spirited, globetrotting grandmother Ardis (Carol Burnett) who has been located somewhere in Patagonia, joins the revelry in a unique way.  A new challenge besets our wedding party when the church becomes overrun by angry skunks.  With a last-minute change of venue to Bill’s farm, the wedding finally takes place, complete with barnyard animals witnessing the exchange of vows.
