          Nine of America's elite professional bakers gather to begin the first in a series of 14 challenges designed to test the limits of their baking mastery. Chopped judge and restauranteur Scott Conant will host the sweet showdown. Judges Marcela Valladolid and Food Network Star, Season 13 winner Jason Smith return to judge the second season of the competition with a rotating cast of guest judges, including baking digital influencers Yolanda Gampp, Joshua John Russell, and Gemma Stafford, and prominent cake and pastry experts Florian Bellanger, Shinmin Li, Sherry Yard and Zac Young. Watch the competitors create towering cakes, adorable petit fours and other sweet treats as they vie for the title of Best Baker in America and $25,000.

•  Leigh Omilinsky (Chicago, Ill)
•  Lasheeda Perry (Atlanta, Ga.)
•  Max Santiago (Miami, Fla.)
•  Jean-Francois Suteau (White Sulphur Springs, W. Va.)
•  Adam Young (Mystic, Conn.)  

          The competition kicks of Monday, May 7 at 9 PM ET/PT with a simple vanilla cake challenge with a mind-bending twist.
