“Adam Ruins Everything”
Mid-Season Premiere Tuesday, August 23 at 10 PM ET/PT on truTV

In the premiere episode, “Adam Ruins Hollywood,” straight from the red carpet, and with the help of celebrity guests Rachel Bloom and Ariana Madix, Adam exposes the hidden truths behind Hollywood's glitz and glamour. He spills the dirt on who’s really behind stars’ red carpet fashion choices, the illogical and problematic process behind movie ratings and how reality shows are anything but real.

In Adam Ruins Everything, host and comedian Adam Conover embarks on a comically inventive yet unrelentingly serious quest to reveal the hidden truths behind everything you know and love. Tackling topics ranging from football and weddings to drugs and prison, he gives you not just fun facts to know and tell your friends, but information that will make you see the world in a whole new way. If knowledge is power, then Adam Conover will have you laughing all the way to the top. Adam Ruins Everything is produced by Big Breakfast.

In the August 30 episode, “Adam Ruins Football,” Adam hits the gridiron to show why the playoffs almost never determine which team is best, and explores how hydration myths that have been spread by sports drink companies are putting kids at risk. Adam also tackles the topic of football-related brain injuries, illuminating how much the game must change if it is to remain part of our culture.

In the September 6 episode, “Adam Tuins Weddings,” Emily and Murph's wedding day is finally here and Adam decides to bestow the gift of knowledge on them which rains on their bliss parade. He shows the couple that most wedding "traditions" aren’t as traditional as we think, that the concept of intense romantic love puts unnecessary pressure on couples, and that divorce is actually a wonderful thing.
