    The Walking Dead

    During the course of Season 7, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) eventually abandoned his attempts to negotiate with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) when it became glaringly obvious this latest nemesis was a raging megalomaniac who was beyond reason. As Season 8 opens, Rick has begun rallying neighboring communities for a high-stakes uprising against Negan and his Saviors, assisted by Maggie and King Ezekiel (Lauren Cohan, Khary Payton). Before this deadly face-off is resolved, though, Rick's gallant crew will see some painful losses.

The beast quickly polishes off beloved coworker Bob (guest star Beck Bennett, "Saturday Night Live"), but also under threat is the Sparkletts water boy (guest star Ryan McPartlin), who's trapped in the building with them in the new "Lockdown."
